Detroit Lions OT Gosder Cherilus hosts a one-day football camp at Ford Field on Saturday, June 26th. Proceeds from the camp will benefit Detroit’s Capuchin Soup Kitchen (www.cskdetroit.org) and The Gosder Cherilus Foundation (www.gosdercherilusfoundation.com). The camp participants will be 300 children ages 7-14 from the Detroit area. Up to 200 of the children will come from individuals and corporations who sponsor participants through donation to the program. The remaining participants will come from youth programs sponsored by the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Children will participate in non-contact drills designed to teach the basic fundamentals of football in a fun and positive environment. Each participant will receive an autograph from Gosder and a camp T-shirt.
